Highlighting Cerulean Scientific’s innovative omniphobic medical devices.
Cerulean Scientific creates medical devices that prevent failure from clots, clogs, and infections. We worked to create visuals that show their coated devices in action. The art style was inspired by relevant topics including plasma treatment, surface activation, and omniphobicity.
A variety of rigs were created in Houdini to illustrate the creation and function of a Cerulean device. Stylized particles were used to create the look of the omniphobic coating while concepts like blood flow and clotting were represented with fluid simulations.
